Eleanor Grant is a doctoral student working on the neural basis of moral judgements and reasoning. The DPhil intially includes behavioural studies of participants considering specific moral dilemmas with the thesis involving fMRI studies in order to distinguish the neural activity between different scenarios. Also considering any possible implications for moral theory and the diverse disciplines drawing on ethics.

She will be working within both the Ethox centre and the recently formed Oxford Centre of Neuroethics, supervised by Professor Julian Savulescu and Professor Michael Parker.

The research is funded by the Program for the Ethics of New Biosciences.
