Biography
Dominic Wilkinson is a neonatologist and Nuffield medical research fellow. He is working towards a doctorate in bioethics, looking at the ethical implications of the use of magnetic resonance imaging in newborn infants with birth asphyxia. He has a medical degree, and has completed specialist training in neonatal intensive care in Melbourne. He has also worked in adult and paediatric intensive care units. He has a particular interest in the ethical issues in end-of-life care in newborn infants, and has completed a Masters degree in Human Bioethics at Monash University (Melbourne). His research is also supported by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (Astra-Zeneca fellowship in medical research, and Eric Burnard fellowship), and a Royal Children's Hospital Travelling Scholarship.
