Carolyn is a research student working towards her doctorate in bioethics. She is interested in the psychological and neurophysiological underpinnings of moral decision making and judgment. Her research examines the philosophical conceptions of human nature implicit in ethical theory and the extent to which empirical evidence in neuroscience and psychology supports these conceptions. Her work is funded by the Rhodes Trust. Carolyn holds a degree in philosophy from Wheaton College (Massachusetts) and plans to attend medical school to study neurology upon completion of her doctorate.
